We will start by finding out a bit about your driving experience, how you feel about driving and how you like to learn. From there we can develop a learning plan.
On your first lesson, you will be given your own Driven track record. This will be used to monitor your progress. Keep it safe as you will need to bring this to each lesson. You can also use it for any private practice with parents or partners.
You will learn in a brand new car with all the modern features you’d expect so not only will you be looking stylish on the road, you’ll be learning in comfort.
Throughout your learning experience your instructor will help you with driving theory as well as the practical side so you will be well prepared when the time comes to take your theory test.
Once you feel ready your instructor will schedule a practical mock test so you will know what to expect when it comes to the real thing.

YOUR THEORY TEST
Of course knowing how to control a car is only part of being a good driver, it is equally important to be able to ‘read the road’, understand road signs and make safe decisions. This is why all new drivers must pass a theory test before they can book a practical test.
The theory test is made up of two parts: 50 multiple choice questions and a hazard perception section. Both parts must be passed together.
YOUR PRACTICAL TEST
You will have been working with your instructor using your track record to help monitor your progress so you will have a good idea of when you’ll be ready to take your test.
When the day comes, your instructor will typically pick you up one hour before your test so you will have time to warm-up and recap the vehicle safety questions which your examiner will ask you.
REFRESHER LESSONS
Whether you’ve just passed your test and would like to freshen up a few things with your instructor; haven’t driven a car for a while and are nervous about getting behind the wheel again or even have just moved and need to know how to handle new road conditions, we can help.
